I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine

Song of Solomon 6:31

I've been to a lot of weddings in my life. Every wedding is unique! some feel like a disaster because someone messed up the flowers, or the limo didn't arrive. A lot can happen on the day you hope will be absolutely perfect! Some things are out of your control, like whether you trip on the walk down the aisle (ok maybe that one could be prevented by not wearing 8 inch heels) , or whether one of your bridesmaids or groomsmen comes down with the flu the night before (or was it the alcohol?). Either way, there's a lot of things that you can't help. But at every one of these weddings one thing happened. They got married!! That's the point of the day isn't it?

But the things that you can control (at least to a certain degree), i want to help you beautiful couples with those, so i will be posting 1 or 2 wedding day tips a week(until i run out) Today will be tip #1

1. Enjoy this day. Take a breath,

close your eyes, and remember what the day is really about

Yes, yes, I know this will be easier said than done. Between hair dressers,  make up artists , florists and crazy photographers like me all around you, when would you have a chance to breathe?

One way of doing this is by planning in advance, Tell your significant other to write you a letter, you will write him a letter, and the day of the wedding give it to each other. Tell your planner about this in advance as well. Then don't feel bad telling all the people in your life who love you, that you want this to be a quiet, private moment just between you 2, stand on each side of a door (if you're not doing a first look) or wall, and hold hands while reading the letters that were written just for you, out of love. Close your eyes and take in that moment. Because you will live it only once!

As a photographer I try to capture this moment quietly, but there's nothing wrong with you saying "this one i want just for my memory, i will never  forget this, so i don't need a photo"
