Tips for the Bride and Groom #4

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Choose your Vendors carefully

Whether you're shopping around for flowers, invitations, Photographers, venues, food etc. Make sure you are hiring someone you LOVE. Your wedding day only happens once and you can't take it back.

Most professional businesses will have websites or store fronts you can walk in and see their work. For example if a florist you go see has beautiful work, But it's just not your style, not what you're looking for. You may want to try someone else, you can't expect them to alter their style completely to fit your needs. It doesn't mean they don't do good work. They just don't do the work you need done.

You want everything to be perfect so do your homework beforehand. Sometimes certain vendors are more expensive for a reason. Sometimes you're dream vendor may be cheaper than others. You just never know. Usually you'll be able to see reviews online, and word of mouth usually goes around as well if someone had a bad or good experience.

I know i may be biased in saying this, since i am a photographer, but a good photographer can work with all the little details, from cake, to earrings, to shoes, to bowties. And make them look amazing! I always feel like the only thing that will last from a wedding day is your memories and the photographs. The cake will be eaten, the flowers will dry, the guests will leave and go home, tables cleaned and put away. The only thing you will really be able to physically hold forever is your photographs (and your dress). So in my opinion its important to make a list to see what's most important to you, and budget accordingly.

Just some things to think about...
